The infrastructure part of a project looks like paperwork right up until it moves the launch date. Below is what to check before, not after.
Hosting for .kz must be in Kazakhstan
The requirement that catches people out: an internet resource on a .kz domain must be hosted on servers located in Kazakhstan. That's a rule of the domain zone, not a recommendation.
The practical consequence: popular static-hosting platforms with servers abroad don't work for a .kz domain. The domain can be delegated away and the site simply stops opening. If the project is already built, it gets moved to Kazakh hosting — a migration, not a rebuild.
Registration isn't a five-minute job
Registering a domain to a company or sole proprietor requires company details — a BIN or IIN. Registration itself is quick, but if the name is taken you're into choosing an alternative, and by then the name is usually already printed on business cards, running in ads and written into the site copy. Check availability at the earliest possible stage.
SSL isn't optional
Without a certificate the browser marks your site "not secure". In B2B that's trust lost on the first screen. A free Let's Encrypt certificate installs on any decent host and renews automatically; separately, force the redirect from http to https, or some visitors will keep landing on the unsecured version.
Email on your domain
An address like info@yourdomain.kz is a small thing that noticeably changes how correspondence with corporate clients and tender committees is received. It's set up alongside hosting and takes minutes. Check SPF and DKIM separately: without them your mail will regularly land in spam and you won't know.
Pre-launch checklist
- Access belongs to you. Domain, hosting, repository and analytics registered to the company, not to a contractor's personal account.
- Backups. Not "there's a copy somewhere" but a clear procedure: how often, where to, and how to restore.
- Monitoring. You should hear about downtime from a system, not from a client.
- Domain auto-renewal. A forgotten renewal payment is the most avoidable outage there is.
Time and cost

The one thing to record in writing: all access belongs to you. Infrastructure held by one person from the past is the most common reason companies can't change contractor.
